Mission
Rising Soul Foundation brings understanding, support, and community through the healing power of the horse.
Vision
Rising Soul Foundation envisions being the premier model for connecting people with horses and their local community as a point for wellness and healing.

four feet move your soul.”

Understanding
The Equine Experience (actively working with a horse) is unique and facilitates an environment where participants can truly be present in the moment. It allows you space to gain an understanding of who you are, to accept where you are in life, and helps you find the strength to build a stronger foundation for yourself. Every interaction is an exchange of energy, and the horse is an amazing teacher and healer.
Support
Throughout the program, participants are supported by like-minded peers, instructors, and volunteers. Our goal is to make you feel at home, guide you through the process, and provide a space for you to share your unique experiences if you so choose. You never know who will reach or impact with your story.
Community
Rising Soul Foundation is a community where we learn from each other (horse and human) and grow with each other. You are never alone. We are stronger together and together we make a difference one interaction at a time. We also have a goal to be a positive influence within our greater Clarksville and Montgomery County communities through outreach, events, and much more.
MEET OUR TEAM
Angela
Executive Director and Founder My name is Angela and I am the founder of Rising Soul Foundation. I am an Army Veteran. I served 14 years on active duty and currently am an active member of the Army Reserve. Being a part of the military is an amazing experience, one that I would do again if given the chance. It is unique to each Soldier, yet we all share a common bond. That was always my driving force, why I served, for my fellow Soldiers to my left and my right. You go through hell and back together. My Army career took me coast to coast in the US and all over the world. I was deployed several times to combat. I left active duty in 2018. That same year I became part of a Veteran equine program. It found me exactly when I needed it the most and literally saved my life. It gave me the space to cultivate listening, being mindful, self-regulation, and developing healthy communication skills. Since that experience, I have committed my life to paying it forward and bringing this Foundation to life. I consider myself part of the herd with the boys, along with the rest of the four and two-legged family Karli and I have running round the property. We are excited to be part of the growing community of Clarksville and Montgomery County. Our name was carefully considered. Our Soul is the truest part of us. Our Soul knows we are designed for a bigger, more sensuous, and more imaginative life than what we are living in our material driven world. Our goal is to get our participants in touch with this energy and get it to Rise in all aspects of our lives and permeate in our community. |

It is my life mission and goal to serve others. I have a HUGE passion for helping others and seeing them succeed in overcoming any obstacle they face. I look forward to incorporating this passion by volunteering with Rising Soul Foundation. |
Chris
Director of Development My name is Chris Norman. I am dad / bonus dad to seven wonderful children. I have recently retired from the US Army after serving 24 years. During my 24 years of service, I found helping others to be a fulfillment in my life. After retirement I felt a void as my mentoring of Soldiers was gone. I now look forward to filling that void of helping others by volunteering with Rising Soul Foundation. |
Linda
Director of Operations My name is Linda. I am mom / bonus mom to seven wonderful children. I have spent most of my adulthood as a military spouse. I am a Registered Nurse and I have spent many years working in healthcare and youth facilities. Most of my life has been committed to my passion of helping others.
